Welcome to the U16 and U18 Italian Rugby Cup at Rugby Club Parabiago near Milan, Italy!

The Italian Rugby Cup is quickly becoming one of the most exciting international youth rugby experiences available in Europe for teams looking to combine strong competition with brilliant sightseeing opportunities in the fantastic northern Italian city of Milan.

Italian youth rugby has developed enormously over the past decade, particularly at U16 and U18 level. Italy’s pathways are producing increasingly strong players and competitive age-grade sides, with Italian U18 teams now regularly competing strongly against major rugby nations.

Held at the home of Rugby Parabiago 1948 near Milan, the tournament is specifically designed for U16 and U18 boys’ and girls’ teams, bringing together sides from across Europe in a festival atmosphere built around rugby, travel and shared experiences.

Some free time before transferring to Rugby Club Parabiago for your group stage fixtures today.

Lunch included before group stages commence this afternoon.

The tournament is split into 4 x groups of 4 teams (16 teams in total at each age group). Each team will play 3 x 30 minute games in the group stages today.

If you are drawn in groups 1 or 2, the first game kicks off at 14:00 and the last game ends at 17:50, if you are in groups 3 or 4 then the first game kicks off at 18:00 and the final game concludes at 21:50.

Enjoy dinner at Rugby Club Parabiago before transferring back to your hotel ready for finals day tomorrow.

Transfer to Rugby Club Parabiago this morning as games kick off from 10am.

All teams will play at least 2 x 40 minute fixtures today.

The first team you play against today will be determined by where you finished in your group stage yesterday.

If you finished top of your group then you will play another side that finished top of their group and if you finished 4th, then you will play against another side that finished 4th.

Lunch included at the club.

This afternoon, you will battle it out in your final game to determine your final ranking out of the 16 teams in the tournament. For example, if you finished top of your group yesterday and won your first match today then you go into the final for 1st or 2nd place. If you lost that same game this morning, then you go head-to-head for 3rd or 4th place.

Unwind at the Italian Rugby Cup Finals Dinner and Closing ceremony this evening.

Transfer back to your accommodation for some well-earned rest!
